Suresh Raina, who was dropped from India’s latest Asia Cup squad,
will lead the world champions in the series as their regular captain MS
Dhoni has been rested.
Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan,
Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Shami Ahmed
have been rested as well.
Robin Uthappa, who last played an ODI
for India six years ago, caught the selectors’ eyes with his good form
in the Indian Premier League while Wriddhiman Saha has been called up to
replace Dhoni as the wicketkeeper.
The other notable inclusions
in the side are Kedar Jadhav --the highest scorer in Ranji Trophy this
season, pacer Mohit Sharma and all-rounder Stuart Binny.
Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka will host all three ODIs on June 15, 17 and 19.
