‘Godzilla’ Scores Much More Than ‘The Xpose’ In Its 1st Weekend | India Box Office
Hollywood release Godzilla had a decent first weekend at the Box Office in India. The film collected 18 crores nett in merely three days. This is indeed a praiseworthy feat achieved by Godzilla as the flick performed much better than the Bollywood release The Xpose.
However, though the collections are higher than the Himesh Reshammiya starrer, this Hollywood flick earned much lesser than the recently released The Amaizng Spiderman 2. This Andrew Garfield starrer had made a whopping opening weekend business of 31.40 crores in India.

Godzilla being a reboot of its
first instalment, had gathered much buzz over it. Performing mainly good
in the urban centres, this film enjoyed a good footfall at multiplexes
on the weekend. Surprisingly, the dubbed versions of Godzilla did not get as much responses as its English one. The dubbed versions were mainly received well at the single screen theatres.
A higher collection was expected on the
weekend from the film, but the on going IPL tournament being in its
final stretch affected its growth. Nevertheless, the movie has good
chances to perform decently in the weekdays and come up with an above
average 1st week total.
