The news of actress Deepika Padukone working with Salman Khan
has been in the news for a while. But it obviously didn’t work out due
to the actress’ extensive work commitments to other projects already.
However, if reports of Bollywood insiders and a leading news daily is to
be believed, The actress is all set to perform an item number in the
Salman Khan starrer Kick.
Though the actress hasn’t officially been roped in so far, a Bollywood
insider close to Koimoi insisted that the actress has given a verbal nod
to do an item song.
Though reports had earlier suggested that Padukone will be seen romancing Sallu Bhai in Sooraj Barjatya’s Prem Ratan Dhan Payo but later Sonam Kapoor was confirmed as lead lady opposite Salman in the film.

The insider also informed Koimoi, that Kick has good chances
of being delayed. The film is running nearly 40 days off schedule and
though Salman is working incessantly to wrap it at the earliest so that
the film can release by Eid, the chances of it seems grim as of now.
Khan has been untangled in too many issues lately and after the last
hearing of his hit-and-run case with witnesses identifying the actor, it
is indeed a testing time for him. The witnesses even suggested that
Salman’s party had tried buying them off. Though the proceedings are
still in order, if Kick gets delayed, the actor will witness a grave setback as Eid has been his lucky charm for years!
Kick is directed by Sajid Nadiadwala and will star Jacqueline Fernandez along with Randeep Hooda and Nawzuddin Siddiqui in lead roles.
